I'M KATY
I was raised by a single Mum in a little town in the Oxfordshire countryside, in the UK. I was taught, if I wanted anything, I had to go out & work for it. No matter what, you make your own way, pay your own way. Harsh? Maybe but it made me who I am and although I am so lucky to have a wonderful, supportive partner, I thank my incredible Mum for these lessons.
I discovered photography at school & knew it was what I wanted to do. I LOVED it but it was hard, long unsociable hours, pushing myself out of my comfort zone at every opportunity, travelling across the UK & Europe - very hard for an introvert with uncontrollable self doubt! It took a lot of will power to move forward but I knew it had to be done to succeed.
I worked in all sorts of areas of photography from fashion & editorial for some of the largest brands in the UK, Weddings from Scotland to Italy, newborn photography & portraiture, getting the leads, converting them, the sales... you name it! I did it.
An easy path? No.
But boy, I did it & learned from it.
THINGS DIDN'T ALWAYS LOOK LIKE THIS
With the support of my now husband, business was growing, turning over 6 figures very quickly, growing my team & studio space … But I was torn. I was in the business 6-7 days week & we wanted kids.
It had to change.
My WHY had changed.
I knew what I needed to do to achieve my ever growing business & personal goals - I needed to work ON my business not IN my business.
It’s not always been smooth sailing, I've hit rock bottom, I have felt like I'm never going to get back up from people pushing me down... however I have learnt from it all, grown and moved forward. Bigger & stronger.
If someone had told me when I was 26 years old that I would have 7 studios (4 of my own, 3 franchises) in the UK & an editing company working with photographers globally, meanwhile in my personal life, meeting & marrying the most wonderful human I have met, having our two incredible babies & now living in South East Asia, on my way to achieve my personal goals, all by 34... I would have laughed them out the door BUT...
IT CAN BE DONE.
What ever the challenge, the goal, the dream... We live by this everyday.
Working with my incredible team and franchisees, I wanted to take what I have learned, put it into these online courses & if I can help one person, it will be totally worth it.

Things about me you might not know...
- I love everything Italian. The food, the drink, the landscape, the language, architecture... just perfection. There is a reason we got married in Tuscany! I am missing it so much since being in Asia (not complaining of course! 😉)
- Music - Very eclectic from Classical, Jazz, Pop, Country but I love Classic Rock & Metal... I walked down the aisle to Jimmy Hendrix & our first dance was to Otis Redding - books & covers, it always takes people back! Same with my favourite drink, JD & Coke, bartenders always give it to my husband, not me!
- What I Can't live without - my cats ... yes that's right, crazy Cat Lady over here 👋 & very proud of it. Honestly, one of the hardest thing about being away from home...
